MADE IN THE USA quality and workmanship.
Thick 16-gauge steel is used, with several durable baked on powder-coat finishes and many artistically hand-applied finishes also. Beautifully detailed cast aluminum at the joints and on the decorative elements. 16 gauge steel is the thickness of most kitchen sinks, and many motorcycle metal tube frames. Birds are welded on by hand in locations that you specify, if you like, and they are finished in the same finish as the rest of the bed.
The beds come with a heavy duty support frame, made from recycled railroad steel, with glides on the heavy duty feet, which distribute the weight and protect your floors. The full, queen, and king size support frames will have a center metal support.

All of the beds and daybeds shown are available without birds, also.
Headboards only, with a support frame, are available, if you prefer.
DIMENSIONS:
Using the provided bed rails or frame, from the bottom of the side rails to the floor would be approx. 7 1/16 inches on most beds. Use the 2 provided bolts, for the top and the bottom bolt holes on each bed post. The 3rd hole, in between, could be used if you were to use a universal bed frame or universal side rails at some point in the future.
The Lafayette Bird Bed headboard height is 50.5", and the footboard height is 39". The birds add 2.5 inches to those heights. The canopy bed is 85" high.
Lafayette style bed overall measurements:
Twin: 39W x 80 long.
Full: 54W x 80 long.
Queen: 61W x 86 long.
Cal King: 74W x 90 long.
King: 77W x 86 long.

HEAVY DUTY SUPPORT FRAME, WITH CENTER SUPPORT ON FULL, QUEEN & KING. Below is a photo showing the support frame. There would be no center support on the twin or twin extra long size, which is typical of metal frames. Twins and twin extra longs have 4 legs, while fulls, queens and kings have 7 legs. The frame will come with footboard brackets if you order a complete bed.
